Rio Blanco County is located in rural northwestern Colorado. The two communities of Meeker and Rangely are located within the County. The climate ranges from semiarid to alpine with significant daily temperature
changes. Approximately 75 % of county lands are federally owned and include parts of the White River and Routt National Forests.
